Following Passive-Haus and LEED design standards coupled with the use of reclaimed shipping containers for the addition, the budget friendly design seeks
to provide a new experience for living sustainably. The existing interior has been reimagined to open efficiently through the entire home, and the addition has been developed to provide the owners with the living space needed while minimizing the footprint through efficient programming. All facets of sustainable design have been considered for this project to provide a healthy living environment, and with the addition of a renewable energy source, the home will be able to reach its net-zero energy potential
