Farfsing Remodel
To make use of substantial functional space within the family’s home that prior to the project development was not providing the highest and best value to the family, an analysis of possible usage solutions was developed through a program of spaces and specific family needs and desires. With the analysis providing design intention along with a holistic sustainable practices through water conservation, energy efficiency and nontoxic materials, a detailed and cost efficient design was developed to enhance the overall quality of life of the family. The design provides functional entertainment space, a children’s play and study area, a second full bathroom for and home and an office and laundry area. In addition to this, structured storage and utility space is provided along with a mud room as a secondary practical entrance to the home. These resourceful modifications to the existing unused space in the home nearly doubled the useful space in the home for the family’s safe and healthful enjoyment.
