God’s Greater Glory Apostolic Church
This project is a new vision for an early 20th century metal workshop building. The Adaptive Reuse of the existing building is a key component in achieving the project's social, ecological and economic sustainability goals. Designed for a local church, it seeks to strengthen the local community with a church sanctuary and community center. The shell of existing structure will be retrofit on the exterior with metal insulated panels, new energy efficient windows, cool siding and a cool roof. The interior will be completely revitalized spatially to meet accessibility and programmatic needs while economic and ecological sustainable goals are supported through energy efficient lighting, water efficient fixtures, recycled content materials, FSC wood products and no-VOC paints. The design will provide building users with a healthy interior environment as well as high durability and energy efficiency for low operations and maintenance costs for years to come.
